This session will help you identify how you can best market yourself as an international or EU student in terms of what you can offer an employer.  You will gain an insight into what makes an effective application.

Post-study work visa advice

Interested in working in the UK after your graduation? Alana Holland, the International Student Advice Manager at the University of Portsmouth, will be providing information on some of the post-study visa options available to students.

Opportunity China

No matter what subject you're studying or experience you have, you could be on your way to teach in China after you graduate this year.

Opportunity China will be on campus at the University of Portsmouth on November 22nd to present exciting graduate opportunities in China.

Students can expect to gain a full understanding of how to go about attaining a position as an English Teacher in China after graduation through the Teach China Graduate Program,as well as vital information about salary expectations, living arrangements and what to expect once they arrive.

Global jobsearch

Monday 5th November, 2.00 - 3.00pm, Careers and Employability Centre

This session is aimed at students looking to work globally, whether that be UK students looking to work abroad or EU/International students looking to return home or work elsewhere.. It will introduce you to strategies and key resources to support your job search including GoinGlobal and the EFMD Talent Portal and Gradlink UK.

Lockin China (webinar)

Tuesday 13th November, 9.00am - 11.00am, King Henry 0.02

This session is aimed at Chinese students looking to return to China on graduation. It will help you identify how to increase your chances of success in the Chinese labour market. Lockin China will also outline how they can help you link with employers across China.   The University of Portsmouth work closely with Lockin China to provide the China Jobs Portal.  The session will take place in Mandarin.

UKEC

Wednesday 14th November, 1.00pm - 2.00pm, St Michael’s  0.32

Are you a Chinese student looking to explore your career options after university? This session will provide support and advice for both students who are looking for work in the UK and students who are returning home. UKEC are a support service who assist international students whilst they study in the UK. They will also be sharing about some of the opportunities UKEC provides for students who wish to remain in the UK upon completion of their studies.The session will take place in Mandarin.
