I completed my graduate studies in psychology in 2005 at the University of Bergen, Norway, and have worked as a Clinical Psychologist since. I have been working as a psychology teacher at the Norwegian Police University College since 2008 while maintaining a part-time clinical position at a local hospital in Oslo. My main research interest has been into how mental health issues are approached in Investigative Interviews. My PhD research investigates issues related to how rapport is established and maintained in Investigative Interviews with traumatised witnesses. The project is supervised by Professor Per-Einar Binder, University of Bergen, and, Dr. Becky Milne, University of Portsmouth.
As a graduate student, I had tutorials for undergraduate students for a period of three years, mainly in the subjects History of Psychology and Personality Psychology. At the Police University College I have taught the subjects Stress, Mental Health and Investigative Psychology for the last five years.
