I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Portsmouth. I obtained my PhD in Applied Mathematics in 2004 from the University of Naples Federico II (Italy).

I held postdoctoral positions at the University of Naples and at the University of Durham. Following these, I worked for five years as Mathematical Modeller at Rothamsted Research (UK).

I am a member of the Nonlinear and Complex Systems Research Group and my research interests involve nonlinear differential equations, applied dynamical systems and mathematical biology.

Teaching Responsibilities

  • Nonlinear dynamics (M321, L6)
  • Mathematical Models (M121, L4)
  • I supervise final year projects in the area of Biomathematics

  • Population dynamics
  • Mathematical biology and medicine
  • Mathematical epidemiology
  • Theoretical ecology
  • Nonlinear delay differential equations
  • Nonlinear dynamics, stability properties in dynamical systems
