I qualified as a barrister in 1979. My practice spanned family law and complex crime (defending), including serious sexual offences and non-recent cases. My academic interest lies in the interface between psychology and the law, especially memory science, witness testimony, expert evidence and criminal justice issues associated with serious sexual allegations. I have addressed legal and medical professionals, police, academics, and charitable organisations on related criminal justice issues.I am lead editor of a multi-author interdisciplinary publication: Radcliffe, P., Gudjonsson, G., CBE, Heaton-Armstrong, A., & Wolchover, D. (Eds.) Witness Testimony in Sexual Cases: Evidential, Investigative and Scientific Perspectives. Oxford, UK: Oxford University Press, January 2016.
