I first came to the University of Portsmouth to graduate with a BSc Criminology and Criminal Justice followed by a MSc International Police Science. I went on to a career with the Metropolitan Police Service where I then returned to the University of Portsmouth to graduate with a distinction and faculty award for a masters in Risk, Crisis and Resilience Management.

I now work in the legal sector and sit as a trustee on two local charities that seek to improve the sporting opportunities and facilities for disabled and underprivileged children. I also work as a committee member on a local rugby union team. I now seek to use the PhD as an opportunity to connect these experiences and develop a framework that allows business, sport and charitable organisations to work more effectively together.

To create a framework that would allow a local SME to engage with local charitable organisations facilitated by a mutual appreciation of sport. The framework would attempt overcome the barriers of poor financial and time resources that prevent business from committing to the principle that doing good is good for business.
