The University submits the Athena SWAN renewal under the extended Athena principles

The University applied to renew its Athena SWAN Bronze Award in November 2017 and is likely to be advised of the result in April 2018. The submission was made under the Extended Principles, which means that it includes all areas of the University and both academic and research and professional and support staff. It also covers the intersectionality of race and gender and equality for Trans people. The comprehensive Action Plan covers 2017-2021 and staff across the University have started work on delivering the actions. Six monthly monitoring reports will check on progress and will be reported to the University Executive Board.
