I hold a Ph.D. in Economics (Dr.rer.soc.oec) from the University of Innsbruck (Austria) and a M.Sc. in Economics (Mag.rer.soc.oec) from the University of Linz (Austria). Before joining Portsmouth Business School I have been employed as lecturer and the director of the research laboratory at the Ruhr-University of Bochum, the University of Oldenburg and the University of Innsbruck.
I have taught various courses including Behavioural Economics, Game Theory, Experimental Methods, Programming in z-Tree, Macroeconomics (all levels), Microeconomics, International Economics, Monetary Theory, Monetary Policy, Multivariate Statistics, Political Economics, International Economics, and Introductory Sociology. I am currently unit co-ordinator for International Economics (U20444, U24398), and Behavioural Economics and Game Theory (U25858), and I am the dissertations coordiantor for the B.Sc. Programmes Economics, Business Economics, and Economics Banking and Finance. I currently also teach the advanced Macroeconomics part of Adanced Topics in Economics (U25408).
I am a behavioural economist doing mainly empirical research using laboratory experiments. My research focus lies in the fields of social preferences in financial markets and bargaining situations, behavioural and experimental macroeconomics, and experimental political economics, decision making on behalf of others, and experimental political economics.
