I started in my current role as a Teaching Fellow in Economics at the University of Portsmouth in 2017, but I have been teaching on a range of Economics units at the University since 2013. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Economics and Political Science & International Relations from the American University in Bulgaria. I also hold a Master of Science degree in Business Economics from the University of Portsmouth and am currently working towards a doctorate in Economics and Law. I have previously contributed to a number of funded economic impact projects at the University of Portsmouth, working with Portsmouth Naval Base Property Trust, National Museum of the Royal Navy and Isle of Wight Council.

Teaching Responsibilities

In previous years, I have taught on core undergraduate Micro- and Macroeconomics units as well as on electives with an Applied Economics flavour like Economics of Crime and Social Issues. My current teaching responsibilities include Microeconomics, Issues in Business Economics, Business Forecasting and Data Analysis, Mathematics for Economics and Economics for Business. I am also involved in the Business Innovation Development Project and serve as one of the Level 4 Personal Tutors for students on our BSc courses. Last but not least, I provide dissertation supervision at Level 6 through the Applied Economics units.


My research interests include Business Economics and Industrial Organisation; Economics of Professions; Regional Economics and Policy; Technological Change, Innovation and Economic Development.
