I am a Senior Lecturer at Portsmouth Business School.

For five years, I undertook the responsibility of Director of Undergraduate Programmes in Economics. I have also been a member of the Portsmouth Business School Board and the faculty's Timetabling Group.
I have previously been employed as a lecturer at the University of Northumbria and the University of Leeds. I have also worked for the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, where he assisted G.D.N. Worswick in the writing of "Unemployment: a problem of policy".

Teaching Responsibilities

My current teaching interests include Econometrics, Statistics and Macroeconomics. Also, in the past, I havelectured in the areas of International Economics and Labour Economics.


My research involves applying econometric techniques to macroeconomic time-series data. More specifically, I have recently been concerned with investigating the relationship between the price of oil and macroeconomic performance in the U.K.. Additionally, I have been examining the usefulness of indicators of consumer confidence for the purpose of predicting household consumption expenditure in the U.K..
