The Faculty of Business and Law has two Student Engagement Officers: Becky Entwistle and Rosalind Cheetham.

How can they support you?

The Student Engagement Officers offer support and advice to all of the Faculty of Business and Law students, to help them make the most of their time at university.

Whether you need support with a particular problem, or advice about how to take advantage of all the services available to you, you can drop in and see them, for a confidential chat.

Areas they can help with:

  • Wellbeing, stress, motivational problems
  • Finance
  • Housing
  • Personal circumstances
  • Support with applying for ECFs
  • Advise about accessing support for health and disability issues
  • Support with how to resolve visa problems
  • Support with how to manage lack of motivation and engagement

How can I see them?

You can make an appointment to see the Student Engagement Officers on Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm, or drop in and see them anytime (Richmond Building 1.12).

Do my personal tutor/lecturers find out if I visit you?

The Student Engagement Officers operate independently from your course staff, so we will not contact them without your permission.

This service can be used by any student whose home faculty is the Faculty of Business and Law. If you are registered with another faculty, alternative provision may be available in your department. For more details, speak to your course. team.
