Learning Support Tutors
What we offer
Our Learning Support Tutors provide additional support to students in the Faculty of Technology in the following areas:
- Mechanics and Physics
- Computing and IT Skills
Learning support is available to students across all Technology departments, courses and units. For example, engineering students may require extra help with maths, while maths students might need extra help with IT skills. Support may be provided one-to-one, in small groups or through workshops or drop-in sessions.
When contacting a Learning Support Tutor, please let the tutor know which course you are studying and your six-digit student ID. When attending a session, please bring any relevant materials with you, but remember, Learning Support Tutors are not allowed to help you to do your assessments or assignments.
For support with academic skills such as time planning, writing and referencing, contact the Academic Skills Unit.
I am the Faculty of Technology Learning Support Tutor for Foundation Year students. I provide one-to-one support to students in areas of mathematics and physics. I attend tutorials and I also provide a couple of drop-in sessions per week.
Mechanics & Physics
We offer one-to-one sessions to students in the Faculty of Technology with enquires related to and . The service will be of particular interest to students in the Schools of Engineering and Civil Engineering. Further support will be given through drop in sessions and departmental visits at given times. Support could include the rearranging of engineering formula through to the strengthening of an understanding of the engineering sciences.
Computing & IT Skills
I am the Faculty of Technology Learning Support Tutor for one-to-one support to students on topics including programming, computer architecture, database and IT skills. I also provide drop-in sessons at given times. related subjects. I provide
