As the Faculty of Technology Student Engagement Officer I have the privilege of working with staff and students within each school and department. My role supports our Associate Dean (Students) on projects to improve the retention and achievement of students across the faculty.

After graduating from the University in 2005 I started work in the Marketing and Communications Department delivering outreach projects and initiatives to schools and colleges in the local Portsmouth area. Following this I moved into a marketing role and worked as part of a team to deliver marketing campaigns, organised university wide open days and delivered workshops on our UP for Uni programme.

I started at Kingston University in 2012 and joined the Compact Scheme Team, developing transition and engagement activities to prospective and current students in the London area.  I then moved internally to a role within the Science, Engineering and Computing Faculty as a Student Support Officer providing one to one support, advice and guidance to all students across the faculty.

I left Kingston to travel abroad and went to South Asia, South East Asia, Australasia and South America before returning back to Portsmouth.

Upon my return back to the UK, I started a role in FE at Chichester College, developing internal support processes for HNC and HND students across the college.

I rejoined the University in 2015 as a Faculty Adviser (Research) a role which provided advice and support to our MPhil and PhD students.
