Dr Andrea Shawyer is a Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Criminal Justice Studies. Her main research interests are Investigative Interviewing with specific focus on fraud investigation and lie detection, with her research so far focussing upon the use of Scientific Content Analysis (SCAN). As a psychologist, she also has an interest in the psychology of false confessions.
