Learning at Work
About Learning at Work
The Department of Learning at Work is based in the north wing of Anglesea Building. It comprises the long established Partnership Programme and the Occupational Health and Safety Management Programme.
Our students are all employed in industry, with jobs that are relevant to the degree route for which they wish to study.
The Partnership Programme allows working people to study for university qualifications - bachelor's and master's degrees - without leaving their jobs. Much of the learning towards their award is based on projects that already form part of their daily work.
The Postgraduate Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Management comprises two, 30-credit modules that can be used towards a Master of Science Degree (MSc) in the same subject or towards MSc Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management via the Partnership Programme.
Many of our students use the Learning at Work degree and postgraduate programmes to gain professional accreditation, be it Incorporated Engineer, Chartered Engineer or Chartered Health and Safety Professional. We are happy to advise you on how best to achieve this.
By the very nature of our work, we have long established relationships with many companies and organisations, be they local, national or international.
