Recruitment and Outreach
The Recruitment and Outreach Team are recruiting current students to three roles:
- Student Ambassador
- Student Mentor
- Postgraduate Ambassador
University Ambassadors support with a wide range of student recruitment and outreach activities to promote the benefits of Higher Education, and where appropriate, the University of Portsmouth in particular.
Student Ambassadors predominantly work with young people aged 9-18 years on a variety of activities targeted at raising aspirations, and encouraging young people to think about their progression routes.
This vacancy has now closed. We will be recruiting again in September 2019.
Student Mentors are assigned to a school to work with small groups of Year 10 pupils on a weekly basis. Mentors support pupils with encouragement to achieve highly in all aspects of school life, to explore future course and career opportunities, and develop revision and study skills to prepare for examinations.

Postgraduate Ambassadors support the Recruitment team with delivering a range of events and promotional activities to raise awareness of postgraduate study opportunities here at the University of Portsmouth.

As an Ambassador you can add value to our activities by enthusing and inspiring others through sharing your positive experiences of higher education. You’ll be joining a friendly community of over 70 University Ambassadors, from a wide range of backgrounds.
All Ambassadors receive appropriate training and guidance to ensure they are equipped to represent the University of Portsmouth as required by the Recruitment and Outreach team.
