I am a PhD student with an MSc in aquatic biology from the University of Portsmouth. Following my masters degree I moved to London where I worked for a year in healthcare and volunteered at the Natural History Museum as an assistant curator with their crustacean collections. I returned to Portsmouth in October 2015 to start my PhD at the Institute of Marine Sciences. I am interested in the effects of anthropogenic pollution on the normal behaviors of aquatic invertebrates, and how this will affect their ecology. My research will also involve the development of sensitive behavioral assays with sophisticated computational techniques for use in ecotoxicological monitoring.
