I am a lecturer in Music & Sound Technology and lecture on the department's BSc Music and Sound Technology, MSc Computational Sound, MSc Digital Media and BSc Computing and Digital Sound courses, the latter of which I am also Course Leader. I am an active musician, composer and engineer and was previously Head of the Music Department at Northbrook College. I am a member of the Advanced Games Research Group and have a wide range of research interests in Music Technology with a particular focus on algorithmic composition, physical modeling synthesis and production aesthetics.

My current research applies perceptual analysis models to generate structural descriptions of music, which are then used as meta-templates to generate new algorithmic compositions.
