I joined the University of Portsmouth as an undergraduate studying Palaeobiology and Evolution in 2009, and have remained within the university in various capacities ever since.  I am currently researching a PhD on the Ecology of Silurian Graptolites, whilst working part time as a Learning Resources Officer for the University's School of Languages and Area Studies.

Lower Telychian graptolites of Litohlavy, Prague Synform, Czech Republic. G. Witton-Maclean (29th July 2015 at the ISSS GSSP Workshop, Prague, Czech Republic).

Broadly interested in the palaeoecology of graptolites, focussing mainly on the Silurian.  Current projects include: testing for biomarkers indicative of euxinic environments; and studying the correlation between environmental factors and changes in graptolite morphology/ontogeny.
