Research and services to business
World-class research by SLAL staff takes place within the University's Centre for European and International Studies Research (CEISR), with interdisciplinary work across the humanities, social sciences and arts funded by major UK and European research councils.
The School is involved in a variety of consultancy projects, including language extension programmes for PGCE trainees. We run short courses in English language for international clients, and our Translation cluster offers its language services locally and nationally. A CPD course in Gender and the Developing World is also available.
