Erasmus and Exchange Programmes
Erasmus+ is a European Commission programme that aims to modernise education, training and youth work across Europe. It offers exciting opportunities for UK higher education students and staff to study, work, volunteer, teach and train abroad within Europe.
Erasmus+ has developed beyond an educational programme - it has acquired the status of a social and cultural phenomenon. It gives many European university students their first chance to live and thrive abroad. Almost two million students have benefited from Erasmus grants to date, and the European Commission hopes that the new Erasmus+ programme will allow 5 million students/staff to take part in the exchange.
