Senior lecturer/School Learning and Teaching coordinator

I have taught at Portsmouth since 2004, firstly as a Teacher Practitioner and since 2007 as a full time senior lecturer.  I manage a stage 2 unit for the undergraduate MPharm programme and have previously been course leader for the Foundation degree programme for pharmacy technicians.

Teaching Responsibilities

My teaching is almost exclusively to undergraduate MPharm students across all 4 years of the programme.  Themes include community pharmacy practice and clinical simulation – both primary and secondary care.

My role as learning and teaching coordinator for the school encompasses many other courses taught within the School of Pharmacy And Biomedical Sciences.

I supervise between 6 and 8 undergraduate MPharm projects.

I am a PhD student, due to finish in July 2016.  Project title: An investigation into student and staff perceptions of clinical simulation as a teaching method for pharmacy undergraduate education at Portsmouth University.
