When you choose the University of Portsmouth, you'll study at one of the UK’s top 25 universities  – the Guardian University Guide 2019 named us the 25th best in the UK.

This is the fifth successive year the University has climbed the Guardian University Guide's rankings and fourth year in a row the University has been in the top 50 universities in the UK.

Overall, 88% of our students are satisfied with their course. This is higher than the national average of 84%.

The University of Portsmouth is one of only four universities in the south east to achieve the highest Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

If you’re a new, full-time undergraduate or postgraduate student who make us your firm choice and meets the accommodation deadline, you will be guaranteed a room in halls when starting a course in September or October.
